Today I am going to share something really cool that I learned to do recently: Verse Mapping. I learned this through my awesome online small group Bible study through Proverbs 31 Ministries. (A fantastic ministry !! See my sidebar link.) It’s an awesome way to dig a little deeper into the Word. It’s super fun to do as well! Basically, you are studying the meanings of words within the verse to gain a deeper knowledge of what the Lord wants us to take away and apply from that particular verse. You also personalize the verse to your self.
Once a week, I will share a mapped verse that I’ve taken away from the current Bible study I may be participating in, or have come across in my devotions, that I feel may encourage you.
Last week, I began a Bible study with Proverbs 31 ministry based on the new book by Karen Ehman called, “Keep It Shut: What To Say, When To Say It and When To Say Nothing At All.” (Check out this book!!! Good stuff!!!) Our first memory verse is Proverbs 10: 12-13:
“Hatred stirs up conflict, but my love covers all wrongs. Wisdom is found on the lips of decerning.”
Here is what my mapping of this verse looks like:
Very cool right?
I encourage you to try your hand at some Verse Mapping. It will deepen your understanding of the scriptures that you read.

Until next time, remember, He’s got your back!
